Math
This morning the grade 5's revisited multiplying decimal numbers. This time around, they are multiplying tenths by single digit whole numbers.

homework can be found on page 287 - 288 Questions 1 - 3 (must complete 2 of 3) and in total complete 5 of 10 problems.

The grade 6's worked on estimating percents.

The questions can be found on Page 318 - 319  of the Math Makes Sense Textbook

And there are additional problems in the Jump Math practice sheet package.

UOI - Flight & Language

The Students used the time to work on their UOI summative projects.

Some students needed a bit more time to revise their alternative endings.

The grade 5's and 6's played an exciting game of Quidditch. Check out the videos below. I had a sideline interview with the players and caught some of he action on 'film'.

The students completed their term 3 OWA assessments for persuasive writing.

Music

The students continued work on their on the summative flight devices.

Language
Some students continued writing their alternative endings to the novel and began peer editing.

Math
The grade 5' and 6's both worked form MMS this afternoon. 

The grade 5's explored lesson 6 - Relating Fractions to Division. All fractions can be written as division statement. The students also learned to convert mixed and improper fractions to decimals. 
Homework on pages 278 Questions 1 - 5 

Grade 6's explored lesson 6 as well. Relating Fractions to Percents. 

They learned that the word percent means "per one hundred" or "out of one hundred". 

Please complete page 310 questions 1 - 5 

Both grades were given supplemental exercises from Jump Math. This will be completed in tomorrow's lesson.
